What is a blog

A weblog, which is usually shortened to blog, is a type of website where periodic entries are usually made and displayed in a reverse chronological order. The term "weblog" was coined by Jorn Barger in 1997. This was later shortened to "blog" and is accepted as both a noun and verb. So you can say, "I have a blog." or "I blog about cars." Blogs can be about anything. Most often they offer commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news. Many are personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic.
